The Explore Fencing app is free to download and aimed at fans of fencing and coaches. There are two sign ins to the app and one is named 'Explore Fencing' that takes you to a space where there are a set of games to try out. No sword needed or any other equipment.
The are over 250,000 young people each year that try fencing and we wanted to have an app that supported those who may have been inspired to learn a bit more and we have spent time to develop this app so we can manage the back end of it and keep uploading it with more and more content based upon what people tell us they would like and what we think is important information to get over. Perfect app to download if you want to try and introduce some activity to your children at home or want to find out some basics of fencing.
The free games are introduced by top GBR fencers James Honeybone and Kate Beardmore. They demonstrate and explain some key points to the games that will help you look and move like a real fencer.
The other side of the app is for British Fencing coaches who can access games and session plans. Aimed at the 900+ trained up 'Core Coaches' that British Fencing have and for other license providers of fencing. A Primary School Resource Pack is also delivered through this app for those licensed to deliver it. For more information on our coaching framework please visit out website here - https://www.britishfencing.com/members/coaching-zone/
All content within the app comes with interactive video as well as top tips, fun facts and progressions. The Coaches sign in has a username and password and if you are a Core Coach and want to access the app then please contact development@britishfencing.com stating your full name and full details of where you did your course, what date and who provided the course and we will generate a log in for you.
As we look after the backend of the app ourselves we are hoping for people to reach out and provide us with feedback on what works well and some even better if comments. We will then be able to respond by altering, enhancing or creating content based on this feedback. Please follow us on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn to provide this feedback as way of a DM and we look forward to molding this app into what our fencing community want it to be like.
